Delete your child's data

Two routes, and both end the same way. You can do it yourself in four taps, or you can ask us and we will do it for you.

Do it yourself, in four taps

  • Open REVA Bible Companion on your own phone.
  • Go to Social › Family.
  • Tap your child's row.
  • Remove the child.

That is the whole deletion. It takes effect at once, and nothing is left for you to confirm by email.

Or ask us, and we will do it

Email [email protected] from the address on your REVA account, and say which child. Two lines is enough: the child's first name, and the email address your REVA account uses.

We confirm you are the parent on that account before we delete anything, because a request that deletes a child's work has to come from the grown-up who owns it. Then we delete everything we hold about that child and write back to tell you it is done.

We answer within three working days and finish within 30 days. In practice it is the same day we reply.

What gets deleted

  • The child's profile: their first name and birth year.
  • Every lesson record: which lessons were opened, which were finished, and which answer was tapped.
  • Points, the history of how they were earned, and every reward request.
  • Every paired device, which stops working and wipes the child's copy the next time the app opens.

Drawings, coloring pages and the type settings a child chose were never sent to us. They live on the child's own device and go when the app is deleted from it.

Short lived server logs age out within days. We keep no record of the internet address your child's device connected from alongside anything about your child.

Smaller things you may want instead

Sign one device out. In Social › Family, tap your child's row and then the tablet icon. Every device they are signed in on is listed, and removing one wipes your child's copy on that device the next time the app opens. Their profile and progress stay.

Withdraw permission. Withdrawing the permission you gave before pairing deletes the record of what your child read and answered, and stops every device of theirs. Their profile stays in your family, and nothing is sent again unless you give permission again.

What we hold about your child, and why, is in the privacy notice. Other things that go wrong are on the help page.
