Something is not working

Nearly everything that goes wrong with REVA Kids is one of five things, and all five are below. If yours is not here, email a person.

Reach a person

[email protected]. A person reads it and answers, in English, usually the same day.

Two things make an answer one reply instead of four: which device your child is using, and what the screen actually says.

REVA Digital LLC, Pilot Point, Texas 76258, USA.

The pairing code will not work

  • A code lasts ten minutes. After that, tap Set up a device again for a new one.
  • Only one code is live per child. Making a new one cancels the last, so if two people are trying at once, the older code stops working.
  • A code never contains I, L, O or U. A character that looks like one of those is a digit.
  • The keypad on the code screen shows every character a code can contain. If what you are holding is not on that keypad, you are reading the family invite code, which is a different code for a different job.
  • Each child has their own code, and a code only pairs the child it was made for.
  • The code screen's ? carries these same instructions, on the device itself.

The five setup steps, in the words REVA uses for its own buttons, are at revakids.com/setup.

Paired, but nothing is waiting

REVA Kids shows what a grown-up sent. Until you write or pick a lesson in REVA Bible Companion on your own phone and send it, the only things on that device are the coloring and drawing pages and the Bible, both of which work with no network at all.

Send one lesson and it arrives within seconds. If it does not, check that the device is on wifi and that you sent it to the child whose device you are holding: each child sees only their own.

Points, rewards and asking

A lesson is worth what you set it at before you sent it, and finishing it is what pays. Nothing takes points away.

Rewards are yours to write and price. Your child can ask for one; the points are only spent when you say yes in REVA Bible Companion. An ask you have not answered yet shows on their shelf as waiting, and they can take it back.

Removing a device, and deleting data

Open REVA Bible Companion, then Social › Family, tap your child's row and then the tablet icon. Every device they are signed in on is listed, and removing one wipes your child's copy on that device the next time the app opens.

To delete everything: remove the child in Social › Family. Their profile, lesson progress, points and reward requests are deleted, and their devices stop working. You can also email [email protected] and ask us to do it for you.

Both routes, what exactly is deleted, and how long we take, are on revakids.com/delete.

What the app holds about your child, and why, is in the privacy notice. The short version: a first name, a birth year, which lessons were finished and which rewards were asked for. No advertising, no analytics, nothing sold or shared outside your family.

Costs, and what REVA Kids never does

  • Free. No subscription and nothing to buy, in either app's family features.
  • No advertising and no third party measuring anything about your child.
  • No messaging, no feed, no comments, no leaderboard. There is nobody in the app to talk to.
  • No way out. No browser and no links that leave the app.
  • No permissions. The app asks your device for nothing: no camera, microphone, location or contacts.

Which ages the app is built for, and what changes between a five year old and a twelve year old, is at revakids.com/ages.
